Now you can own an AutoCAD LT clone for free. It even comes with more features than the $1000 LT.
It's called the DoubleCAD XT and it is an AutoCAD LT work-alike.  But free.

Less than 60 MB in size, the DoubleCAD XT will make you feel at home, the interface is similar to that of the LT's, it even has sketch constrains unlike the LT.

Imagine you can use your pen & paper to draw in 3D!!! This is what the brilliant guys at the University of Toronto just did. They came up with a way to use digitizing in 3D to create a 3D curve sketch that can be transformed to your modeling software to turn it into an actual 3D model. Pretty amazing, isn't it? watch the videos.
